Convaid to Address Plenary Session at Kidz in Motion on Child Passenger Safety

Convaid will participate at the Kidz in Motion conference, to be held August 12-15, 2015, in Orlando, Fla., where Convaid Central Regional Business Development representative,Sally Mallory, will address a plenary session on child passenger safety and the benefits of the Convaid’s Carrot 3, a modular, child car restraint product that is viewed as one of the safest and best-in-class in its category. Ms. Mallory, a physical therapist and Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician, is one of several Convaid staff members who have recently obtained this additional certification. As a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician, Ms. Mallory and several Convaid business development team members, are professionally qualified to assess and evaluate car seating configurations for children.

Kidz in Motion is an annual event affiliated with the National Child Passenger Safety Board, an organization established to provide program direction and technical guidance to states, communities and organizations as a means to maintain a credible, standardized child passenger training and certification.

The Carrot 3 is an integral product within the company’s line of pediatric mobility products, typically prescribed for children with mild to moderate involvement concurrent to the following conditions:  Cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, Duchene Muscular Dystrophy, Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Spinal Bifida, Osteogenesis Imperfecta, Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Cystic Fibrosis, Mitochondrial Disease, Metabolic Diseases, and Sensory Processing Disorders, among others.

 

Convaid Carrot 3 features adaptive positioning with high density foam inserts for optimal positioning and comfort. It accommodates children from 30 to 108-pounds and from 37 to 60-inches in height. The Carrot’s 180-degree free angle recline allows for easy diaper changes and conforms to vehicle seat. It comes latch-equipped with lower anchors and tethers for children. The Carrot also comes with an optional removable cover that controls odor and spillage that is provided through a third-party vendor through Convaid’s website.
