(R82), will present a Certificate of Donation during the 14th Annual Rett Syndrome Symposium, an international, interdisciplinary meeting focused on recent advances in Rett syndrome research, to be held from June 22-26, 2016 at the Eaglewood Resort & Spa in Itasca, Ill.
Brendon Reid, Business Development Representative, Great Lakes West, will make the formal presentation at the venue in the Red Oak Ballroom on Saturday, June 25, 2016 during a dinner event to be held from 7PM-10PM.
The symposium will be followed with a conference, entitled, Unity, Strength, Hope, that will include sessions of Fundamental Science, Translational and Clinical Research, and Neuro-Habilitation Research that will address the molecular, cellular and systems-level pathophysiology of Rett syndrome, potential treatment strategies and ongoing clinical trials.
This event gathers scientists working on Rett syndrome and related fields of neurological research, who will share their recent findings in an effort to advance understanding of the pathogenesis of Rett syndrome and continue discussions for developing new therapeutic strategies for this disease.
The Rett Syndrome Organization, the world’s leading comprehensive private funder of Rett syndrome research, has invested more than $38 million in peer-reviewed research grants and programs and has earned Charity Navigator’s highest award.
“We are in the business of creating mobility solutions for families living with special needs with firm commitment to create products that help families lead more active and mobile lives. We are continually working to expand our portfolio of life-enhancing products to address the mobility of children, adolescents and adults living with Rett syndrome and other disabilities,” Dinklo said.
“Rett syndrome is a pretty disabling rare disorder, but those affected are very social and like to be on the go. Thanks to the generosity of Convaid, one more child will be able to get out and explore her world, in the comfort and safety and versatility of a Convaid wheelchair. Rettsyndrome.org and families everywhere are grateful for the innovative and lightweight products developed by Convaid. We greatly appreciate Convaid’s culture of community partnership and presence at our Rett and Related Disorders 2016 education and awareness conference,” said Paige Nues, Director of Family Empowerment, Rettsyndrome.org.
