Convaid launches #Convaidgives thankfulness promotion on #GivingTuesday by paying it forward this holiday season by donating a Convaid Rodeo pediatric wheelchair with a gratitude sharing contest that starts on Giving Tuesday, on November 29, 2016 and runs through the end of the year through its #Convaidgives promotion.

Convaid community members are invited to complete the phrase “I am thankful for . . .” on Facebook and Twitter between November 29 and December 31, 2016, using the #Convaidgives hashtag.

Convaid will identify the winner based on the meaningfulness of the posting and the number of likes, shares, retweets, comments or other engagement it receives.  The winner will receive a brand new upgraded transit-ready Convaid Rodeo, with the choice of frame options (with seating or without seating) and improved positioning options.

Giving Tuesday, typically denoted as #GivingTuesday for purposes of social media hook engagement, is now celebrated on the first Tuesday after the Thanksgiving celebration held in the United States.  Giving Tuesday was ideated in 2012 by the 92nd Street Y and the United Nations Foundation as a response to commercialization and consumerism in the post-Thanksgiving season.

“Planned giving is ingrained in the Convaid culture. We continually seek ways to give back to our community and our Giving Tuesday initiative is in line with charitable endeavors with United Cerebral Palsy, Cure SMA, Rett Syndrome Organization, Muscular Dystrophy Association and others,” said Marketing Director, Nanneke Dinklo.

The Rodeo was engineered to allow for weight and pressure shifts throughout the day to promote pressure management and increased seating tolerance for users with mild to moderate involvement.  The new frame option accepts aftermarket seating for children with more complex positioning requirements.  It is a popular pediatric tilt-in-space wheelchair that is best-in-class, convenient, lightweight, and folds compactly.

Rodeo features:

  • Two new frame options
  • Compatible with adaptive and aftermarket seating
  • Allows for up to 45 degrees of adjustable tilt
  • Individual or one-piece angle-adjustable footplates
  • Padded footbox
  • Customizable
  • 5 years growth capacity
  • Dynamic positioning
