The following is a breakdown of new products to be offered at ISS (by brand grouping)
Convaid and R82 (pediatric):
Kudu | The Kudu was designed to offer easy adjustability while addressing the clinical needs of the child and the ergonomic requirements of caregivers. Available in 4 sizes, the base of the seat and the backrest are both height and depth adjustable. With -3° to 45° of tilt and -5° to 30° of recline, the Self-centering, tilt-in-space Kudu maintains the child’s center of gravity, ensuring optimum balance and positioning. This feature allows for easy maneuvering and effortless tilting of the seat, even with the back reclined. The backrest is adjustable from an easily accessible lever beneath the seat, and rear wheel adjustment is possible in 3 different positions. The Kudu is highly customizable with many options, including head, trunk, foot and leg positioning options. The Kudu complies with ISO 7176-19 standards for safe transportation.
Trekker | A tilt-in-space, lightweight wheelchair, the Trekker is an all-day chair that opens up a world of exciting treks! With the flexibility of 180° reversible seating, the occupant can either face forward or face the caregiver. The Trekker easily separates into 2 lightweight components – the base and the seating module, which makes compact folding simple. Available with 2 back module options – back canes only or a solid back system with cushion – the Trekker accepts various brands of adaptive and aftermarket seating to fully accommodate clinical needs. Variable positioning options allow up to 170° of adjustable recline and up to -5° to +45° of adjustable tilt. Center of gravity is maintained when the user is balanced in the seating module, and it promotes ease of tilting and operation with minimum effort. Convaid’s dedication to continuous new improvements has delivered new features such as individual footplates, a padded footbox and a greater selection of head supports. The Trekker has a transit-ready option and meets WC19 safety standards for safe transportation.
Rodeo | The leader in tilt-in-space, compact-folding, lightweight and durable positioning systems, the Rodeo is perfect for someone who needs more involved positioning and support. Two frame options – with and without seating – allow for adaptive and more extensive seating options with 5° to 45° of adjustable tilt and 90° or 110° of adjustable recline provide pressure relief and upper body support and dynamic positioning promotes increased sitting tolerance. Custom built to individual user’s needs, the Rodeo’s adjustable seat depth extends chair life for a growing child, providing 5 years of growth capabilities. Foot and leg positioning options include a one-piece footplate or individual, angle adjustable footplates, a padded footbox for comfort and safety, and an elevating leg rest. Numerous pelvic, trunk and head support positioning options help to ensure the best, most therapeutic and comfortable fit. The easy clamshell fold-flat design and adjustable tension upholstery make the Rodeo a top choice for both users and caregivers. The Rodeo has a transit-ready option, and has met WC19 safety standards for safe transportation.
Wombat Living | The new Wombat Living is a state-of-the-art functional activity chair developed through engagement with therapists, crafted to meet the wide-ranging needs of toddlers to teens and young adults. It comes with a height-adjustable frame with anterior tilt to facilitate transfer to avoid repetitive lifting. It is available in an array of fresh colors to compliment any indoor environment. The Wombat Living comes in three configurable sizes, to optimally fit the user while active at school, home or interacting with friends.
